Guide to Attractions for Young Children at Disneyland Paris (Without Too Much Waiting!)

Travelling to Disneyland Paris with babies or young children (aged 1 to 4) is a wonderful experience that will leave you with memories for a lifetime. Seeing their faces when they meet Mickey Mouse or gaze at Sleeping Beauty Castle is priceless.

However, let’s be realistic: young children and long queues are an explosive combination. Asking a 3-year-old to stand still in a queue for 60 minutes is a recipe for a tantrum, stressed parents and a bad time for everyone.

At Magic Wait Paris we know your priority is to enjoy without stress. That’s why we’ve created this survival guide: the best attractions for young children that rarely have long waits.

🏰 “Lifesaver” Attractions in Disneyland Park

The main park has loads of family attractions, but some hide a great secret: their capacity is so high that the queue always moves quickly.

1. Alice’s Curious Labyrinth

  • Why is it ideal?: Because there’s no queue! It’s a walk-through attraction. Young children have the freedom to run, explore, touch and get lost in the hedge maze searching for the Cheshire Cat.
  • Average wait: 0 to 5 minutes. It’s perfect for burning off energy after sitting in the pushchair.

2. Le Pays des Contes de Fées (The Land of Fairy Tales)

  • Why is it ideal?: A very peaceful outdoor boat ride seeing miniature Disney story scenes. The boats load lots of people at once, so the queue flows very quickly.
  • Average wait: 5 to 15 minutes.

3. Casey Jr. – le Petit Train du Cirque

  • Why is it ideal?: It’s right next to the fairy tale boats. It’s Dumbo’s friendly train. It’s a little faster, but children love sitting in the animal “cages”.
  • Average wait: 10 to 20 minutes.

4. “It’s a small world”

  • Why is it ideal?: It’s an essential classic. The little ones are fascinated by the colours, music and moving dolls. Thanks to its continuous loading system, you might see a queue that looks very long, but in reality it never stops moving.
  • Average wait: 10 to 25 minutes.

💡 Magic Wait Tip: Before you go, check the exact time on our App. It’s an attraction that, although it can have peaks of 25/30 minutes, is at 5/10 for most of the day, so don’t waste your time and wait for the queue to drop.

5. Mickey’s PhilharMagic (Discoveryland)

  • Why is it ideal?: It’s a giant 4D cinema. Hundreds of people enter at once, so the maximum wait is usually just however long the previous screening takes to finish (about 12 minutes). Plus, it’s ideal for escaping the rain, cold or extreme heat, and you can sit comfortably.

📱 Exploring the park with a little one? With Magic Wait Paris you can see in real time which family attractions have under 15 minutes wait near you. Filter by zone and avoid unnecessary walks with the pushchair.

🎬 Gentle Attractions in Disney Adventure World (Walt Disney Studios)

The second park also has great options for the little ones that don’t require hours on your feet.

6. Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin (Worlds of Pixar)

  • Why is it ideal?: You climb onto the back of Slinky the dog from Toy Story while he chases his tail. It’s very gentle, visually attractive for children and the queue is much more manageable than other attractions in the area.
  • Average wait: 15 to 20 minutes.

7. Family Shows (Together or Mickey and the Magician!)

  • Why is it ideal?: Children are amazed watching the characters live. The great advantage is that you don’t stand in a traditional queue. You simply arrive 15 or 20 minutes before the start, stay in a spacious waiting room (where children can move around) and then go in to sit down.

📱 The trick the insiders use. With Magic Wait Paris the map marks waits under 15 minutes in green. Filter by zone, compare times in real time and move your family only when the next attraction is under 2 minutes’ walk away.

⚠️ “Trap” Attractions (Warnings for Parents)

Be careful not to confuse “children’s attraction” with “fast attraction.” There are beautiful attractions for young children that are a real time trap because they load very few passengers per minute:

  • Peter Pan’s Flight: It’s beautiful, but its wait rarely drops below 50-60 minutes. Tip: Do it only early using Extra Magic Time or by paying for the fast pass (Premier Access).
  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant: Very slow to load. The queue in the sun can feel eternal.
  • Autopia: Children love driving, but the cars take a while to dispatch. Being outdoors, if it rains they close it and if it’s very hot too. You have to pay close attention to wait times.

📱 The Ultimate Trick for Stress-Free Parents

The secret to a happy day at Disneyland Paris with young children isn’t running from side to side, it’s flexibility.

If you’ve planned to meet Mickey Mouse, but you see there’s a 60-minute queue, don’t torture your child (or yourself) by forcing them to wait. This is where Magic Wait Paris becomes your best friend during the trip.

How to use our App to avoid tantrums?

  1. Open the map on your phone.
  2. Look for the numbers in green (wait times under 15-20 minutes) that are near your current location.
  3. Head to that attraction.
  4. Your child will have fun almost instantly and you won’t lose your patience.

Keep your family happy, rest when necessary and let live data guide your day.
