Buffalo Bill Statue

You can find a figure of Buffalo Bill waving. Fun fact: In 1889 (and again in 1905), the real Buffalo Bill brought his "Wild West Show" to Paris at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. It was a massive cultural phenomenon in France. His presence here symbolizes the arrival of the "Wild West Show" to Europe.

The Beating Heart Tomb

At the end of Boot Hill cemetery, look for a large nameless tomb, like an elevated sarcophagus. If you put your ear to the stone... you'll hear a real heartbeat! Bum-bum, bum-bum... It's said to belong to Melanie Ravenswood, the bride from the attraction. The heartbeat symbolizes that her love never died.

Tigger Animatronic

At the Storybook Store, a Tigger animatronic was added to decorate the entrance. It used to stamp books with the date for visitors. It no longer stamps, but if you watch closely, you'll see it move its head side to side and blink, as if watching over the accounts or greeting guests from its office.

Snow White's Wishing Well

Approach the well near the Castle Theatre. You need to get close to the well's railing. Wait for fewer people or for the ambient music to quiet down. If you pay attention, you'll start hearing Snow White's voice singing "I'm Wishing" from the bottom of the well. The song has an echo effect, just like in the 1937 film.

The Roc's Golden Egg

At the entrance to Adventureland from the central plaza, look at one of the Arabian-style golden towers. At the very top, you'll see a giant golden egg. It's not random decoration. Adventureland in Paris is based on the stories of Sinbad the Sailor. That egg belongs to the Roc, the mythological giant bird from Arabian legends that could lift elephants.

The Evil Queen at the Window

Stand in front of Snow White's attraction, but don't go in. Look at the window just above the entrance, on the first floor. If you wait a few seconds, you'll see the velvet curtain move and the Evil Queen (in her old hag form) peek out to spy on tourists with a macabre smile.

The Golden Snails

Sleeping Beauty Castle in Paris is unique in the world, with a very French touch. Look at the golden rooftops of the lower towers and kitchens (to the right when facing the castle) and look closely at the golden spires. They're not balls or spikes! They're golden Burgundy snails (Escargots) climbing up the tower. It's an Imagineers' joke nodding to famous French gastronomy.

At a specific point in the cave, look up at the ceiling. You'll see an opening that connects directly to the base of the house. It's the family's Pantry/Cellar seen from below. The Praxinoscope

At the entrance to Discoveryland Theatre, you'll see large cylinders with strips of drawings and mirrors in the center. If you look at the drawing strip directly while it spins, you'll only see blurs. But if you look at the center mirrors, the magic happens. Thanks to "persistence of vision" (a feature of our eyes), the mirrors make the drawings come alive and move in a loop. They're not just any drawings - they're usually frames from Mickey Mouse's first animation shorts.

The Excalibur Challenge

In the Castle Courtyard, you'll find the sword Excalibur embedded in the anvil. Many think it's glued, but watch out: very occasionally (usually when a Cast Member is nearby or during special occasions with Merlin), the mechanism releases and the sword rises a little. Don't miss trying to pull it out for the photo!

Skull Rock

There's no giant sign saying "Entrance". That's the beauty of Adventure Isle. To get there, you must cross hanging bridges or enter the dark cave labyrinths (like Ben Gunn's Cave) that wind through the island. All paths lead to the heart of the skull. You can peek out from the "mouth" or the eye sockets. From there you have a privileged view of Fantasyland and the pirate ship.

They seem to have just disembarked their floating house and are deciding which route to take.

The pavement isn't just normal 'dirt.' If you look closely at the main path, you'll see gigantic sneaker footprints stamped into the ground. They are Andy's footprints. For him, it's just a normal step, but for us (the toys), it's a massive crater. It's a great immersive detail.

The Champagne Fountain

Look closely at how the water flows from the bottles held by the rats. The engineers designed the nozzles so the water wouldn't come out clear and liquid, but white, frothy, and aerated. The goal is to make it look like real champagne foam continuously overflowing, not just plain tap water.
