Verónica Valenzuela

Founder of MagicWait Paris · Wait-time Analyst

Verónica Valenzuela is the founder of MagicWait Paris and the editorial lead of this blog: the guides, strategy articles and wait-time analyses are written and signed by her. She has been visiting Disneyland Paris since 1999, continuously since 2015, and has spent more than 100 days in the park. She works daily with the wait-time history collected by MagicWait Paris (more than 850 days of measurements, attraction by attraction and time slot by time slot), which is the basis for the figures in every article. When a guide says a queue drops at a specific hour, she is looking at that data, not at a hunch. Before the app existed, that work was done in a spreadsheet for her own family. Her training explains how she looks at the park. An architect and designer, she has led the product design and architecture area of Silo Creativo, the Seville-based studio that develops the app, since 2012, shaping digital products from information architecture to visual design. That way of thinking (where people move, where they gather, which route makes sense and which does not) is what she applies to Disneyland Paris. That is why these guides are framed as flow and decision problems, not as lists of recommendations. Outside MagicWait she writes about design and UX on the Silo Creativo blog. Originally from Úbeda (Jaén), she lives in Seville.
