At Disneyland Paris, magic is present in every detail — but navigating a resort in the middle of its transformation into Disney Adventure World requires more than excitement: it requires strategy. In 2026, with the opening of milestones like World of Frozen and the new show at Adventure Bay, having the voices of those who experience the park day in and day out is more valuable than ever. Today we have the pleasure of chatting with Alexandra, the creator of Alexandra’s DLP Diaries.
Alexandra has turned her passion for the resort into a visual diary where authenticity and practical advice go hand in hand. Her ability to uncover “hidden gems” and her storytelling approach have made her a go-to reference for anyone looking to make the most of every second of their visit. In this interview, we explore everything from her favourite spots to how she manages the psychology of waiting so the magic never stops.
At MagicWait Paris, we had the pleasure of sitting down (virtually) with her to talk about everything: how she handles the queues, her favourite hidden corners, the changes Disney Adventure World has brought in 2026… and that magical moment in 2005 when she rode the Dumbo float during the Wonderful World of Disney Parade. 1. The origin of the diary: Alexandra, we all have a “click moment” with Disney. What led you to start Alexandra’s DLP Diaries, and what motivates you most about sharing your day-to-day life at the park?
Today I have a little story for you from a huge Disney fan. Ever since she was a child, this girl had dreamed of visiting Mickey Mouse at Disneyland, but unfortunately, the United States was too far away to make that wish come true.
So she was all the more delighted when Euro Disney opened its gates just outside Paris in 1992; she booked her first visit right away for July, just a few months after the opening in April. There she stood on Main Street USA, gazing at the beautiful Sleeping Beauty Castle—it was love at first sight; her big dream had come true.
Since that first visit, many more have followed—well over 50 by now. In the early years, she always paid for individual tickets until she decided to get her first annual pass, a decision she has never regretted. She also became a Euro Disney shareholder during that time; she was so proud that a blade of grass in the park was now hers. She even managed to participate in the 2005 Wonderful World of Disney Parade on the Dumbo float.

2. The 2026 evolution: With the transformation of the Studios into Disney Adventure World, which corner or new experience has surprised you the most so far?
I love adventure World. I was invited for the annual pass preview before the opening. Arendelle is a Masterpiece, so is the whole adventure way. I love sitting there and enjoy myself.
3. The crowds challenge: As someone who visits the park frequently, what’s your personal strategy for keeping the “magic” alive when the park is at a high crowd level?
At high level I just enjoy what is possible to do. I was at dlp over 60 times so if i miss a show or attraction, its not a Problem.
4. The psychology of waiting: We all know queues can be the biggest “pain point” of a trip. How do you (and your followers) manage the frustration of seeing 90 minutes on a headline attraction like Crush’s Coaster?
The Single Rider line is my fastpass. I always advise that. If someone stays in a Disneyland Hotel Extra magic Hour is your best friend.
5. Your planning methodology: We get it a first-time visitor and someone who knows the park inside out are not the same. But even so, are you the type who prefers to go with the flow in the moment, or do you trust data and predictions to decide what to do at each hour?
I never book or plan anything. Always go with the flow. Only for a special day I book a restaurant.
6. Hidden Gems: At MagicWait, we love the details that fly under the radar. Could you share one of your favourite “gems” at Disneyland Paris that a first-time visitor would never find on their own?
The Disney family Sign at the Castle. In Liberty Arkade the hidden inauguration scene.
7. The food factor: Getting a table at Auberge de Cendrillon or Walt’s has become almost mission impossible. How important are reservation alerts in your planning process?
Non existant for me cause i dont need that. But i tell other to search on cancellation sites, like magicwaitparis, to get an alert.
8. Advice for first-timers: If you had to give a single “golden” piece of advice to a family visiting the park for the first time in 2026 so they don’t feel overwhelmed, what would it be?
Don´t overplan and overthink. You need serveral visit to see everything.
9. Content and Magic: Sometimes staying focused on filming the “diary” can disconnect you from the experience itself. How do you manage to balance being a content creator with actually enjoying the park?
I prefer to enjoy the parcs and post later. On the day i do only a few stories.
10. Passing the Magic: Which other creator or agent in the Disney community do you admire for their park knowledge, and what question would you like to leave them for our next interview?”
