Of the 19 attractions with Premier Access, paying makes no sense on 8: at their best hour they average 5-7 minutes of wait and between 10:00 and 17:00 they almost never reach an hour. On another 6 (one of them, Crush’s Coaster, closed until 2027), on the other hand, even at their best hour you do not get below half an hour. That is the only place where money really buys minutes.
And the calculation almost nobody makes before paying: on a day in Disney Adventure World, planning the order of the attractions well saves you 1 hour and 42 minutes of queue for free. The first Premier Access, the one for Frozen Ever After, saves you about 50 minutes more. The Ultimate, between 71 and 141 minutes over that planned day.
We measured it with 525,737 wait-time records from the 19 attractions, from March 29, 2026 (opening of Disney Adventure World) to October 1, 2026: 187 days.
The data: what we measured and what we did not
- What we measured: the wait Disney posts for each Premier Access attraction, recorded every five minutes while it is open.
- Period: since the opening of Disney Adventure World, the same for all 19 attractions. That way Frozen Ever After and Raiponce, which have only existed since then, are compared on equal footing with the rest.
- Worst and best half-hour: the worst is the half-hour slot with the highest average of the day. The best is the lowest within general opening hours (from 9:30 to 21:00), not counting hotel early access or the slots that only exist on late-closing days.
- What we did not measure: how long you spend in the Premier Access line, which is not zero either. In the simulations we use between 5 and 15 minutes and give both figures.

| Star Tours | Disneyland Park | 21 min (12:30) | 5 min (9:30) | 0% |

Average posted wait, from March 29 to October 1, 2026. n = 525,737 records over 187 days; between 22,498 (Cars ROAD TRIP) and 30,803 (Tower of Terror) per attraction. Crush’s Coaster, only until its closure on September 6.
The column that matters is not the peak one. It is the best half-hour: what that attraction still costs you once you have planned. Premier Access only really saves you that difference.
Three groups, three decisions
Here, paying makes sense. Frozen Ever After and Peter Pan’s Flight still average 46 minutes even at their best half-hour. Frozen exceeds 60 minutes in 85% of the readings between 10:00 and 17:00. Big Thunder Mountain (39) and Ratatouille (35) are on the edge. And Autopia is a separate case: its queue is almost flat (from 33 to 45 minutes across all general hours), so planning barely helps you. If it is a must for you, it is the only one in the group where the hour changes almost nothing. Crush’s Coaster would be first on the list, but it closed on September 7, 2026 for a refurbishment that will keep it down until summer 2027.
Here, plan before paying. Spider-Man, Tower of Terror, Orbitron, Buzz Lightyear and Hyperspace Mountain go from 41-55 minutes at their worst half-hour to 17-25 at their best. Paying for them at midday is paying for something the hour gives you for free. The half-hour-by-half-hour detail on Spider-Man is in our Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure analysis.
Here, do not pay. Cars ROAD TRIP, Flight Force, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, It’s a small world, Phantom Manor, Raiponce and Star Tours. At their best hour they are at 5-7 minutes and between 10:00 and 17:00 they reach an hour in at most 6% of the readings. Raiponce, for example, has its worst half-hour at 22 minutes.

If you are going as adults or teenagers and do not mind riding separately, there is a free alternative we have also measured: the Single Rider line.
| Attraction | Regular line (11:00-16:00) | Single Rider (11:00-16:00) |
|---|---|---|
| Frozen Ever After | 75 min | 39 min |
| Ratatouille | 60 min | 22 min |
| Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure | 49 min | 22 min |
| Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain | 36 min | 23 min |
| Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril | 29 min | 15 min |
| Avengers Assemble: Flight Force | 27 min | 18 min |
Posted wait in both lines on the same readings, between 11:00 and 15:59, from March 29 to October 1, 2026. More details in our Single Rider guide.
A day in Disney Adventure World: four strategies
Let us take a family of four, without a Disney hotel, spending a day in Disney Adventure World this autumn and wanting to ride the seven Premier Access attractions that are still open: Frozen Ever After, Ratatouille, Spider-Man, Tower of Terror, Cars ROAD TRIP, Flight Force and Raiponce. We simulated their day with the 2026 average curves, half hour by half hour.
| Strategy | Average day | Bad day (10% worse) |
|---|---|---|
| No plan: all in a row from 10:00 | 4.6 h of queue | 6.4 h |
| Planned, without paying anything | 2.9 h | 4.3 h |
| Planned + Premier Access One on Frozen | 2.0-2.2 h | 3.1-3.3 h |
| Planned + Premier Access One on Frozen and Ratatouille | 1.3-1.7 h | 2.1-2.4 h |
| Premier Access Ultimate on all seven | 0.6-1.8 h | 0.6-1.8 h |
Simulation with the average waits (average day) and the 90th percentile (bad day) of each half-hour slot since March 29, 2026. Assumptions: 15 minutes per attraction between ride, exit and walk to the next one; a one-hour meal between 11:30 and 14:30; last entry at 20:55; Premier Access line of 5 to 15 minutes. “No plan” is the average of all possible orders.
What the table says, in minutes:
- Planning saves you 102 minutes over the unplanned day (130 on a bad day). Free.
- The first Premier Access, on Frozen, saves you 44-54 minutes more (60-70 on a bad day).
- The second, on Ratatouille, adds 32-42. Each pass yields less than the previous one.
- The Ultimate saves you 71-141 minutes over the planned day (150-220 on a bad day).
This is what the planned day looks like, without paying anything, on an average day:
| Time | What | Average wait |
|---|---|---|
| 9:30 | Avengers Assemble: Flight Force | 7 min |
| 9:55 | Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure | 31 min |
| 11:30 | Lunch | - |
| 12:30-17:30 | Attractions without Premier Access, shows, characters | - |
| 17:30 | Frozen Ever After | 59 min |
| 18:45 | Cars ROAD TRIP | 11 min |
| 19:15 | Raiponce Tangled Spin | 6 min |
| 19:40 | Tower of Terror | 26 min |
| 20:30 | Ratatouille | 35 min |
The planned day leaves the central hours free for everything that does not have an hour-long queue, and concentrates the big ones at the start and the end. What cannot be planned is Frozen: its best realistic hour in that plan still costs almost an hour. That is why it is the first pass we would buy.
What each minute costs
Disney does not publish a fixed rate: the price changes depending on the day and the attraction. The guides that track it give, as of September 2026, between 5 and 19 € per person and attraction with Premier Access One (16-19 € on Frozen Ever After, 5-9 € on Raiponce) and between 90 and 230 € per person and day with the Ultimate, depending on the source and the date.
For the family of four in the simulation:
| Purchase | Cost for four | Minutes saved over the planned day | Cost per minute saved |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premier Access One on Frozen | 64-76 € | 44-54 (bad day: 60-70) | 1.2-1.7 € (bad day: 0.9-1.3 €) |
| Premier Access Ultimate | 360-920 € | 71-141 (bad day: 150-220) | 2.6-13 € (bad day: 1.6-6.1 €) |
Prices published by Sortiraparis (16/09/2026) and The Whole World Is A Playground (12/09/2026). Minutes: previous simulation.
The uncomfortable truth about the Ultimate is that its savings figure is almost always calculated against an unplanned day. Against an unplanned day it saves between three and four hours. Against a well-planned day, between 71 and 141 minutes, and each of those minutes costs you 2.6-13 €, versus 1.2-1.7 € for the Frozen pass.
When it pays off most: Easter week and 2026
With the complete 2024 and 2025 series, the average wait between 11:00 and 16:00:
| Attraction | Full year | Easter week | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain | 36 min | 58 min | +22 |
| Crush’s Coaster | 73 min | 94 min | +21 |
| Peter Pan’s Flight | 54 min | 73 min | +19 |
| Ratatouille | 43 min | 57 min | +14 |
| Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril | 30 min | 44 min | +14 |
| Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure | 47 min | 59 min | +12 |
| Tower of Terror | 36 min | 48 min | +12 |
| Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast | 36 min | 46 min | +10 |
Easter week: from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday (March 24-31, 2024 and April 13-20, 2025). Big Thunder Mountain was closed on both.
Easter week is the week of the year in which each euro buys the most minutes: all the big ones rise between 10 and 22 minutes in the central hours. The weekend, on the other hand, barely moves anything: at most 5 minutes more than a weekday at the same hours.
And 2026 has made Disney Adventure World more expensive. Between 11:00 and 16:00, from January to September, Ratatouille has gone from a 43-minute average in 2025 to 60 in 2026, Cars ROAD TRIP from 11 to 21 and Tower of Terror from 38 to 43. In Disneyland Park, the big ones have stayed where they were: Peter Pan’s Flight, 59 and 60; Pirates of the Caribbean, 28 and 27. Since the new park opened, on 61% of days at least four of its eight Premier Access attractions (Crush’s Coaster, until its closure) have exceeded 60 minutes at their worst half-hour. In Disneyland Park, with eleven, that happened on 30% of days.
The risk you also buy
The attractions most worth paying for are also among the ones that stop most often. Between 10:00 and 17:00, since March 29:
| Attraction | Readings with the attraction closed | Days with at least one interruption |
|---|---|---|
| Big Thunder Mountain | 11.0% | 55% |
| Frozen Ever After | 7.1% | 44% |
| Ratatouille | 7.0% | 45% |
| Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure | 4.9% | 72% |
| Peter Pan’s Flight | 2.3% | 25% |
| Tower of Terror | 0.8% | 4% |
Only days when the attraction opened at least once between 10:00 and 17:00 (excludes refurbishments).
Spider-Man stops almost three out of every four days, but the stops are short. Frozen and Ratatouille stop on fewer days, but stay closed for longer. The Premier Access One purchase cannot be cancelled. According to several guides, if the attraction stops during your window, the pass can be used later that same day. It is not a guaranteed refund: check it in the official app at the moment.
What this means for your day
- Plan before paying. The order of the attractions saves you more minutes (102) than the first Premier Access (44-54), and it is free.
- If you buy one, make it Frozen Ever After. In Disneyland Park, the equivalent is Peter Pan’s Flight: both still average 46 minutes at their best hour.
- Never on the eight in the last group. At 9:30 or at the end of the day they are at 5-7 minutes.
- If you have hotel early access, recalculate. At 8:30, Ratatouille averages 11 minutes and Spider-Man 5. Frozen is still at 33, so it is the only one that keeps making sense to pay for.
- The Ultimate, only if you are not going to plan anything or if your only date is Easter week or one of the worst days. For the family in the simulation, each minute it saves over a planned day costs between 1.6 and 13 €.
📱 Premier Access is bought on the spot, and the queue at that moment is not the average. If Frozen shows 50 minutes at 11:00 instead of 80, paying may not be worth it; if it shows 100, it is. A Note from Verónica: Premier Access… not necessary with good planning.
I have never seen Premier Access as something to pay for before arriving at the park, but rather something you do if, at the end of the day, you have not been able to do everything you wanted. Although it obviously saves time, it does not mean walking straight on: the wait, depending on the attraction, can be around 15-20 minutes (for example on Crush’s Coaster), though it is usually about 10 minutes. My experience fully matches the article: if you want to pay for something, make it Peter Pan or Frozen/Crush’s Coaster. However, if you go with adults or older children, the single rider option is great for saving money and time. On my last visit we used it on Frozen and the queue went from about 70 minutes in the regular line to 25-30 via single rider.
In short, it is a good option on those attractions, but with a well-planned day plus single rider, it is not necessary.

The decision
Premier Access is not expensive or cheap in general: it is not worth it on 8 attractions and it is genuinely worth it on two, Frozen Ever After and Peter Pan’s Flight. Before paying, plan the order of your day. That is 1 h 42 min less queue without spending anything. If you still want to buy minutes afterwards, buy Frozen Ever After in Disney Adventure World or Peter Pan’s Flight in Disneyland Park, and only at midday. Leave the Ultimate for Easter week or for a day when you really are not going to plan anything.
