Without Crush's Coaster, only Flight Force waits longer than it should (+31%)

53 days without Crush's Coaster vs the same weeks of 2025: Flight Force rises 7 extra minutes; the rest of Adventure World, the same as Disneyland Park.

Without Crush's Coaster, only Flight Force waits longer than it should (+31%)

Since Crush’s Coaster closed on September 7, only one attraction in Disney Adventure World clearly waits longer than it should: Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, with 7.3 extra minutes (+31%). The others move like Disneyland Park, across the plaza, where nothing comparable has closed. Crush’s queue, 80 minutes on average before the closure, has not gone to its Worlds of Pixar neighbours or to the other roller coasters. It has spread out without a trace.

We measured it with the 37 days before the closure (August 1 to September 6, 2026) and the 53 after (September 7 to October 29), compared day by day with the same weeks of 2025, when Crush’s was running. Disneyland Paris has closed it for its biggest refurbishment since it opened in 2007 and plans to reopen it in summer 2027, with no exact date. This is what you will find in Adventure World all winter and spring.

If you are going with children already over 1.20 m or with teenagers who had Crush’s on their list, this is what matters to you: what has changed (not much), where (at Flight Force) and at what time.

The data: what we measured and what we did not

  • What we measure: the wait Disney posts, recorded every five minutes while the attraction is open, from 10:00 to 18:59. In September 2025 Adventure World closed at 20:00 or 21:00, and this year at 21:00 or 22:00: with the full day, 2026 would add evening hours that did not exist in 2025.
  • How we compare: each day of 2026 against the same weekday of 2025, 364 days earlier. That way weekends, the start of Halloween (September 26, 2026 and September 27, 2025) and the French All Saints’ school holidays (Toussaint) line up. The extra rise is what an attraction changed after September 7, 2026, minus what it changed in the same weeks of 2025, with Crush’s open. It removes the normal autumn effect.
  • The control: Disneyland Park, which follows the same calendar and has not closed anything comparable.
  • What we do not measure: people. Without each attraction’s hourly capacity, minutes of queue cannot be turned into visitors. Nor the real queue, which does not always match the posted wait.
  • A warning: Ratatouille was closed from October 13, 2025 to March 27, 2026. In the second half of October 2025 the other attractions took its queue, so in those weeks the comparison with 2025 is less clean. We flag it where it matters.

Data updated as of October 29, 2026.

What Crush’s leaves behind

Crush’s CoasterAverage wait from 10:00 to 18:59Days
August 1 - September 6, 2026 (before the closure)80 min37

September 8 - October 30, 2025 (the weeks in which it is now closed)70 min53
Estimate if it were still open (September 7 - October 29, 2026)76 min—

Estimate: the 2025 wait in those weeks, multiplied by how far 2026 was above 2025 before the closure (80 vs 74). The highest wait posted between August 1 and September 6: 130 minutes.

Crush’s was the attraction with the most queue in the whole park: 16.8% of all wait minutes in Adventure World in the weeks before the closure, ahead of Frozen Ever After (14.3%).

And where it weighed most was first thing in the morning. From 8:00 to 8:59, in the middle of Disney hotel early access, Crush’s accounted for 45% of all wait minutes in the park. In the first half hour of Extra Magic Time it showed 62 minutes on average, twice Frozen’s (30). Its worst stretch of the day was 10:00-11:59: 86-87 minutes.

That is what has been left without an owner: about 76 minutes of queue all day and a dash first thing in the morning.

Average wait from 10:00 to 18:59, only on days when the attraction ran on both paired dates: 30-37 days before the closure and 34-53 after. Ratatouille, only until October 11. Frozen Ever After and Raiponce did not exist in 2025: they rose 3.3 and 0.8 minutes after the closure, 5% and 7%, like the rest of the park.

Bar chart of the extra rise of each Disney Adventure World attraction after Crush's Coaster closed, as a percentage of its previous wait: Flight Force +31% (7.3 minutes), Spider-Man +9%, Ratatouille and RC Racer +7%, and the rest between +1% and +6%, against a reference line at +8.1% that is the rise in Disneyland Park, where nothing comparable closed

Tower of Terror is the example of why you have to look at 2025. It has gone from 35 to 45 minutes since the closure. It looks as if it has taken Crush’s queue, but in the same weeks of 2025, with Crush’s open, it rose just as much (+9.6). It is something that happens to it every autumn, not Crush’s.

Spider-Man, Ratatouille and RC Racer rise 3 to 5 extra minutes. Spider-Man and RC Racer have not actually gone up in 2026 (+0.7 and 0); in 2025 they fell in autumn (−4 and −3), and this year they have not. Ratatouille does rise, by 3.9 minutes. And not falling in autumn, as we see now, has happened across the whole resort.

The catch: Disneyland Park has risen just as much

Average of the 10 Adventure World attractions that already existed in 2025 and of the 20 Disneyland Park attractions we track (Buzz Lightyear is not included: it was closed all autumn 2025). Same attractions each day in both years; 37 days before and 53 after.

September and October 2026 are busier than in 2025, in both parks. In Disneyland Park, with no closure to explain it, Dumbo rises 6.7 extra minutes; Big Thunder Mountain, 6; Autopia, 5.7; Peter Pan’s Flight, 5.4. The rise in Adventure World without Crush’s is exactly the same: 1.8 minutes.

If we subtract, day by day, what Disneyland Park rises, in proportion to each attraction’s queue, this is what remains:

AttractionExtra rise, after subtracting Disneyland ParkDoes it stand out from the noise?
Avengers Assemble: Flight Force+5.0 min (+21%)Yes
Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure+0.3 minNo
RC Racer−0.7 minNo
Ratatouille−1.4 minNo
Tower of Terror−2.1 minNo
Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop−4.4 min (−9%)Yes, downwards

“Stands out from the noise”: the difference is larger than its 95% margin, calculated from the day-to-day variation. The two Cars rides and Tapis Volants stay between −0.8 and −0.4 minutes, in the noise; Slinky Dog, −1.3, also downwards.

The only real winner is Flight Force. Its share of the wait minutes in the rest of the park goes from 6.3% to 8.7% between before and after (up to October 11). In 2025, in the same weeks, it only rose from 6.0% to 7.0%.

There is no proximity effect. The three attractions less than two minutes’ walk away, in the Toy Story and Cars area, do not rise at all. The one that rises is at the other end of the park, in Avengers Campus.

Nor is it “let’s find another roller coaster”. Of the three intense attractions left (minimum height of 1 m or more), RC Racer and Tower of Terror do not rise extra once Disneyland Park is subtracted. Only Flight Force, which shares the highest height requirement with RC Racer: 1.20 m. Our data say where the queue went, not why. Our hypothesis: groups that went for the day’s big thrill ride have swapped Crush’s for Flight Force, and the rest of its queue has spread out in minutes you cannot see, a little in each line, at shows or in restaurants.

When: Flight Force jumped the week of the closure

Week-by-week line chart from August 3 to October 26, 2026 showing the wait difference vs 2025, minus the usual gap before the closure: Flight Force moves between −3 and +3 minutes before September 7 and jumps to +8.7 the week of the closure, +11.7 and +10.9 the next two and +13 the week of October 19; the Adventure World average without Crush's and the Disneyland Park average move together between −4 and +4, except for a +7.5 peak in Adventure World the week of September 14

The jump coincides with the closure, not with something else. Flight Force was under refurbishment from August 24 to 28. The week after it reopened, from August 31 to September 6, it was only 2.8 minutes above normal. The week Crush’s closed, 8.7. After that, 11.7 and 10.9 extra minutes, and 13 the week of October 19, during the Toussaint holidays. It has had the odd quieter week (+1 the week of October 5), but none below normal.

The rest of the park had a two-week push. The Adventure World average without Crush’s rose 7.5 extra minutes the week of September 14, against 2.3 in Disneyland Park. From September 7 to 25, it added 4.8 extra minutes (Disneyland Park, 2.9). Since Halloween started on September 26, it can no longer be told apart from Disneyland Park. It is not Halloween: the little the park moved happened before.

It happens on weekdays and at weekends. Flight Force rises 6.4 extra minutes on weekdays and 9.7 at weekends. During the Toussaint holidays (October 17 to 29) it shows 36.5 minutes on average, against 22.9 in the same holidays of 2025.

Posted wait by half-hour slot. Since the closure: September 7 - October 29, 2026, 51-53 days per slot. Before: August 1 - September 6, 2026, 30-32 days. 2025: September 8 to October 30, 53 days. Single Rider: average wait for that line when it is open (it was in 94-100% of readings).

The rise is in the middle of the day. From 10:30 to 15:00, Flight Force shows between 7 and 13 minutes more than before the closure. At 11:30, one in three readings reaches 45 minutes or more. In the evening it has barely changed: from 20:30, it is still at 10 minutes or less.

Single Rider saves about 10 minutes at midday, as we already measured in our Single Rider analysis. Before the closure, Flight Force was the big attraction you could leave for any time: it did not go above 30 minutes on average in any slot. Not anymore.

📱 Flight Force is at the other end of the park, almost five minutes’ walk from Worlds of Pixar. Before crossing, check whether it has already gone above 30 minutes.

From September 7 to October 29, 2026, with each day’s official schedule (49-53 days per attraction). Crush’s, from August 1 to September 6. Disney hotel early access starts at 8:30 (at 8:00 on October weekends and during the holidays) and the park opens to everyone an hour later.

With Crush’s closed, early access in Adventure World has become quieter. Compared with what is normal in those weeks, the first hour falls by 2 minutes in Adventure World and rises by 4 in Disneyland Park. Those who used to run to Crush’s at 8:30 have not moved en masse to another attraction: in their first half hour, Ratatouille shows 9 minutes, and Spider-Man and Flight Force, 5. Frozen is still the only one with a real queue at that time: 29 minutes, the same as before the closure.

Without early access, the only sign of displacement is at Spider-Man. In the first hour after general opening it rises 9.8 extra minutes, against 4.8 in Disneyland Park at that same time: about 5 minutes above the general trend. It is the only attraction that pulls away from the other park at that time. For your morning plan, our Extra Magic Time analysis still holds, minus Crush’s.

What this means for your day

For a group with children over 1.20 m or teenagers, with a day in Adventure World before summer 2027:

  • Flight Force is no longer the “whenever” ride. Do it during early access (5 minutes) or from 20:00 (15 minutes or less). Between 10:30 and 15:00, count on 33-41 minutes, or about 10 fewer with Single Rider if you don’t mind riding separately.
  • Don’t expect longer queues in the Toy Story area or at Cars. Once the busier autumn is factored out, RC Racer, Toy Soldiers, Slinky Dog and the two Cars rides are as they would be with Crush’s open. RC Racer shows 19 minutes first thing after general opening.
  • With early access, the first half hour goes further than before. What Crush’s used to take (62 minutes on average at that time) you can now spend on Frozen (29), Ratatouille (9) and Tower of Terror (12).
  • Spider-Man, better at the end of the day. In the first half hour after general opening it shows 36 minutes; in the last hour before closing, 15.
  • Don’t go looking for “where Crush’s queue is now”. Except at Flight Force, it is not at any particular attraction. The rest of the park is like Disneyland Park: an autumn somewhat busier than 2025.

A Note from Verónica:

I understand that Crush’s Coaster fans have gone to the attraction in that park that may seem most similar (even though they really are not). What is true is that both are high-intensity rides. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, however, is not an attraction for everyone: although the intensity may seem similar, the sensation is nothing like it.

This summer I rode Crush’s Coaster after 12 years without doing so. I did not need the ride to end to realise why it had been so long… I am not a big fan of roller coasters!! It is a fun attraction, but not for every audience, so when it comes to spreading out the crowds, you either go to the park’s other roller coaster or you spread out evenly across the two parks. With so many attractions, shows, characters… the park absorbs those people without anyone noticing.

You also have to bear in mind that there are always major attractions closed. Last year it was Ratatouille’s turn, so in the end the flow of people spreads itself out.

MagicWait Paris’s own data: from August 1 to October 29, 2026, compared with the same weeks of 2025.

The decision

Crush’s Coaster took 76 minutes of average queue with it when it closed, and the park has not noticed them anywhere in particular except at Avengers Assemble: Flight Force. If you are going to Adventure World before summer 2027, take Flight Force out of the middle of the day: early access or from 20:00. Plan everything else as if nothing had happened: neither the Toy Story area nor Cars has longer queues because of the closure, and early access now gives you a quieter half hour.
